turtle conservation

Annually, Isla Cañas greets more than 35,000 turtles that come to spawn. These ancestral creatures are an important part of the culture and ecosystem of the island and the planet. Unfortunately, there are many threats, such as predators, pollution and looting that prevent the birth of the baby turtles. It is estimated that 1 in every 1,000 hatchlings born reaches adulthood. We need your help to protect them and change this statistic, since every day the possibility of this species becoming extinct increases.

Each square meter of sanctuary saves 480 baby turtles per year!
